Scaly The Vegan Dragon
Scaly, The Vegan Dragon:Or How I learned to stop caring about my weight and instead scale mountains while doing my job as a bus driver in another world
Is a game for Kenney Game Jam 2026. It's a silly platformer type game.
Controls
WASD or Arrow Keys to move
Space to jump
Zero '0' key if you get stuck to suicide and re-start
We used ONLY assets from this pack, recolors and edits abound. We made it a point to only use assets as they were not intended to be whenever possible. The character's legs are from the font for example. https://kenney.nl/assets/desert-shooter-pack

That's a long name
Not if you watch a lot of anime it isn't. Also, we decided to play with the assets and given that we saw trees that looked like vegetables, a dragon and a whol ebunch of durt, and bus stop pieces, we decided it was a natural fit. Me (Vick) and Lulu (Girlfriend) thought it would be fun to go as ridiculous as we knew how. We hope you enjoy our probably way too difficult and rushed platformer.

Lovely game! I like the idea of the dragon increasing in size and giving rides to the critters <3
It's an interesting game! It kind of reminded me of that popular zombie game on mobile. The only thing is, the cacti need to be made more visible.
Really cool idea. Took me a minute to get a hang of the jumping mechanics, but the idea of a dragon bus is fun and getting more jumps with each scale is a neat visualization.
Could definitely see a bigger version of this with different scales/foods giving different powers or something along those lines.
There was a weird glitch where the audio seemed to get louder as I approach the top-left area of the screen. Mostly noticed on the 3rd level.
Good work!
